Library Card Information
To receive a library card free of charge, residents under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent when applying for a card as it is necessary to obtain a parental signature. When applying for a new library card, please remember to bring – photo identification with proof of residence. There is no charge if this is your first library card and you live in Coffee County. If you live in TN but not in one of the surrounding counties, there will be a charge to obtain a library card
Please note the following: Books, Audio Books ,book/cassettes, compact discs, magazine, and paperbacks may be checked out for a two week period upon presentation of a library card. Renewals are permitted except for those books on reserve for another patron or books borrowed from another library.
First time library users may borrow two books on their first visit. Then up to 25 items made up of a combination of books, magazines, max 4 videos, max 4 DVDs, max 3 compact discs, and max eight audio books maybe borrowed per card. Fees and replacement costs are assoicated to all material that is late or lost. As the card holder you are responsible for all material checked out on your card.
The library is not responsible for damage to any VCR or DVD equipment.
A copy machine is available for public use at a cost of .15 cents per copy.
Weekly Newsletter
We publish a weekly newsletter with all the new items that we have added to our collection. There is a link on the home page to allow you to sign up, or you can stop at the front desk and provide them with your email address to obtain the newsletter.
Donations
The library accepts books, videos, DVDs, audio books, and paperbacks that are in good condition and less than five years old.
We do not accept magazine or textbooks.
Volunteers
We use a variety of volunteers at the library. You can be a one time volunteer or a special occasion volunteer. Group volunteers are welcome as well as special clubs and organizations.
Our assistant director can answer any questions you may have about how to volunteer at the library.
